Daniel Boone and his wife, Rebecca, were re-interred in Frankfort Cemetery (Frankfort, Kentucky) in 1845 in a spot that has a great view of the Capitol and downtown.
He's not in mine either, but he's mighty close! One of my personal heroes. Thanks for sharing these. I've never stopped in Frankfort. May have to, if only to pay my respects.
A few years ago we parked at the capitol and 'hiked' to his gravesite. It was a hot and sticky day but what a reward when we got there. Thanks for the memories!
Thanks for posting this! He's an "almost relative" - the great-grandfather of my great-grandfather's first wife (from whom I am not, unfortunately, descended). I'll have to get out to Frankfort some day.
