Research Trip - New Hope Baptist Cemetery (maybe)

In previous posts I've discussed the lack of success on this trip in finding the grave site of my great grandmother, Nancy Jane Bennett Lanier's at Hillview Cemetery in LaGrange, Georgia and in locating the Rocky Mount Cemetery in Troup County where her Bennett grandfather was buried. We did have some cemetery success on this trip - locating two cemeteries and the graves we wanted to visit in each of them.

The first one was New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Fredonia, Chambers County, Alabama. Maybe. Since nothing is ever easy with this family, I'm not sure that's actually the name of the cemetery where my gg grandparents, Charlotte Jackson and William Washington Lanier are buried along with their daughter, Mary; son, James Jackson and his wife, Mary J. The New Hope Baptist Church is located at the intersection of Chambers County Roads 267 and 263 and there is a small, newer cemetery at the church but that's not where they are buried. Their cemetery is located on Chambers County Road 263 about a mile (or maybe less) past the current church location. GoogleMaps shows a cemetery in that location named Swint-Hammack Cemetery. The satellite view looks like the cemetery where the Lanier's are buried. (I've posted the question on the Ancestry Chambers County message board. Hopefully, someone from the area can explain.)

The five Lanier family graves
Four of these markers have already been the subject of Tombstone Tuesday posts (listed here) using photos taken last year when other family members visited this cemetery. The fifth one (Mary Lanier) will be coming soon.

Coming soon - Adamson Cemetery, Heard County, Georgia (or is it Pleasant Grove?)
