The first one was New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Fredonia, Chambers County, Alabama. Maybe. Since nothing is ever easy with this family, I'm not sure that's actually the name of the cemetery where my gg grandparents, Charlotte Jackson and William Washington Lanier are buried along with their daughter, Mary; son, James Jackson and his wife, Mary J. The New Hope Baptist Church is located at the intersection of Chambers County Roads 267 and 263 and there is a small, newer cemetery at the church but that's not where they are buried. Their cemetery is located on Chambers County Road 263 about a mile (or maybe less) past the current church location. GoogleMaps shows a cemetery in that location named Swint-Hammack Cemetery. The satellite view looks like the cemetery where the Lanier's are buried. (I've posted the question on the Ancestry Chambers County message board. Hopefully, someone from the area can explain.)
