Winter 2010 GB Games - Progress Report #8

Saturday (Feb. 20th) was Day 8 of the competition. Here's the list of categories and the tasks I've completed so far:

Didn't get much done for the games today. Got side tracked with something else (see "Sometimes You Don't Know Where You Are" below) but that was interesting. Tomorrow I'm getting back to the Organization category. There's room for a lot of work there.

1. Go Back and Cite Your Sources. (Diamond Medal earned so far)
Create proper citations of sources for as many events possible using either "Evidence Explained" by Elizabeth Shown Mills or "How to Cite Sources" by John Wiley.
35 total Citations completed  on 2/14, 2/15, 2/16, 2/17 and 2/18 meeting the Gold requirement of 30.
Added 7 citations for a total of 42 citations (attached to 141 events/facts). Good enough for Diamond level and surely I can get to 50 in the next few days.

2. Back Up Your Data. (Gold Medal earned so far)
Task C - completed 2/14 (actually completed everyday)

3. Organize Your Research. (Bronze Medal earned so far)

Task F - completed 2/19
Task G - completed 2/15
Task B and D: I've still got that list of headstone photos to make for Find A Grave. The snow has finally melted but it's too wet for cemetery work.

  1. Terrific work so far Linda. I have also been sidetracked the past few days. Hopefully, I can devote more time this week. I have not even begun the organizational events...something I should do.

  2. Wow, you have accomplished so much. I won't get this much, but it is great to see someone who has!

  3. Thanks. Being retired is a big advantage.
